What Art is to Me
My name is Julieann Coraccio and I am a visual artist. My art comes in many shapes and forms including photography, film, painting, dance, performance, and playing the violin, which allows me to explore stories and emotions through a variety of these artistic languages. Within my artistry, I am drawn into the idea of combining these art forms, often blending the use of dance in film, photography with painting, or weaving multiple forms in one single work.Â

At the heart of my work is the deep curiosity of what it means to be human. I believe art has the ability to transcend words, revealing emotions that are often difficult to express but connect us through our experiences. A lot of my work touches on the subject of human connection, what makes us real and living. I feel like art is able to do that in more ways than expected.Â

For me, creating art is an act of exploration and curiosity, a way that can create a space where people can pause, reflect, and even recognize pieces of their own experiences in the work. I hope my art can encourage others to feel more deeply, embrace exploration, and remember that even our most personal experiences can become bridges to one another,
